Reviews - Philip Maye

John Cummings, owner, Cummings Construction, Inc.

Phil took a complete set of photographs of a whole house project that my company (Cummings Construction, Inc.) built in Oakmont, PA in 2010. In very hot weather he conscientiously photographed every angle and view of this house, paying particular attention to revealing the materials and creating compositions that showed off every aspect of the architect's design. Because of his own architectural knowledge, Phil was able to discern the important details of the house, and he even returned the next day to make sure he'd covered everything. Great quality photographs!

Philip is a very skilled and experienced photographer with a keen eye for capturing depth and character in his subjects. Most recently, Philip photographed a listing of mine (his personal residence). The photos were presented to me quickly, edited, and already sized appropriately for the MLS. Having Philip as a photographer, I am certain, played a key role in the home selling so quickly. He was able to capture the most charming elements of the home with ease. I highly recommend Philip for you photography needs!

Rev. Jonathon Jenson, Rector, Calvary Episcopal Church

Phil took numerous excellent photos of Calvary Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh. He has done both details of architectural features and grand shots. In each of them, he has a clear sense of the capturing of its essence. He also created the perfect lighting for each which is incredibly difficult to do in the space. I look forward to working with him again.

Philip A. Maye has done a very professional job photographing many of the architectural and decorative details of our church, Calvary Episcopal in Pittsburgh. As members for over 40 years, we knew we wanted to bring a piece of our church into our home. Working closely with Phil, we selected three of his photographs – a wood carving of St. Michael, the chapel reredos, and a stained glass window, each 30”x15”. With the assistance of his excellent framer, Deidre Howard, Phil was able to deliver the finished pieces under a very short time deadline. Although we bought the photographs for our apartment in Pittsburgh, we were so pleased with the result that we brought them to our home in Florida.
